High street, retail parks and centre units
You know exactly who bought. You know nothing about who came in.
Every till system in the country is a perfect record of the people who spent money and a blank page about everybody else. Shopper WiFi is one of the few first-party signals you can get about the rest — and on the way it gives you a promotional screen you can change this afternoon, a consented list you are allowed to email, and a card terminal that is not sharing a network with the shop floor.
From £39 per shop per month, no VAT added. No site survey fee, no installation charge — it arrives configured and ready to plug in.
The blind spot
“Was it busy?” should not be a question of opinion.
Three things worth being precise about, including the one most guest WiFi vendors are vague about on purpose.
Your till is a record of the people who bought
It tells you nothing about the far larger group who came in, looked, and left. For most independent retailers that group is invisible, which is why "was it busy?" is still answered from memory at the end of the week.
A login page is a signal from everybody else
Basic + Data + Guest Insights shows connections and visitor counts by day, week and month, your busiest hours, new versus returning, and how long people stay connected. None of that requires a purchase, so for the first time you have a number attached to a quiet Thursday.
Read it as a sample, not a headcount
We will not dress this up: it counts the people who chose to join your WiFi, which is some of your visitors and not all of them. We do not track phones that never connected and we are not going to sell you a footfall figure we cannot stand behind. What it is good for is the shape — which days, which hours, how much of your custom comes back.
The screen you already own
A promotion that goes live today, not next week.
The cheapest promotional space in the shop
Window vinyl has a print lead time and a cost. A poster has both. The login page has neither: your logo, your colours, this weekend’s offer, a link to the online shop or the loyalty sign-up, changed from our side the afternoon you decide.
Or sell the space
The advertising add-on puts a tap-to-connect advert or a short video before the login box, at £19 per shop per month. Run your own offers on it, or sell it to the business three doors down.
A shopper list you are allowed to use
On Basic + Data Collection, shoppers give name, email and mobile number before going online. Under PECR, that is not on its own permission to market to them — so the opt-in sits in a separate, unticked box, nobody is refused WiFi for leaving it alone, and the evidence is kept with the record and the time it was given. Since 5 February 2026 the maximum PECR fine has been £17.5m or 4% of global annual turnover, up from £500,000.
Back of house
The part that matters at four o'clock on a Saturday.
Shopper WiFi should never be able to slow down the thing that takes the money.
The till, the stock system and the cameras stay separate
Guests sit on their own network. Your card terminal, your EPOS, the stock system, the office PC and the camera recorder sit on the network your business runs on. A shopper on the guest side is nowhere near any of it, and no card data ever touches us.
Staff and contractors without a shared password
Retail turns staff over, and a shop also has merchandisers, delivery drivers, shopfitters and centre maintenance through the door. A voucher code that expires on its own is a much better answer than one password that half the retail park now knows.
The router ships with its own credentials
Never a factory default. Under the Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure Act 2022, whose security regime came into force on 29 April 2024, manufacturers, importers and distributors of consumer connectable products may no longer ship them with a universal default password — and it is the right standard to hold any router to. It arrives configured for your shop, tested and boxed, dispatched from within the UK on a UK courier with nothing to pay on delivery, and it goes into a spare port on the broadband router you already have.
Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure Act 2022 (c. 46) — legislation.gov.uk
Fair use, enforced
Time and bandwidth limits are set per access tier, so one shopper on a long download does not flatten the line for the queue at the counter or the card terminal in the middle of it.
Pricing
Three packages, per shop, per month.
Fixed monthly fee, no cap on how many shoppers connect, no overage charge, and written notice to leave. On rolling monthly, one calendar month's notice. On a 12-month plan, the balance of the term falls due — unless you took the £149 hardware option, in which case a month's notice is all it is.
Basic
£39/moVenues that want guests online in one tap, with their own name on the screen.
Basic + Data Collection
£59/moVenues that want a guest list they can actually use.
Basic + Data + Guest Insights
£89/moVenues that want to know their busy hours and their repeat custom, not just their guest count.
No VAT is added — we are not UK VAT registered, so the price you see is the price you pay. A second or a tenth shop is the same price per shop, with one login covering the estate and no per-site surcharge — worth checking, because CaptiFi publishes +£25 a month per extra location. The router is included on a 12-month plan, or £149 one-off if you would rather stay on rolling monthly. No site survey fee. No installation charge. We run on your existing broadband: all we need is a spare network port, a power socket and a spot with good signal to guests. Broadband and line charges are not included.
