About us
We build the WiFi layer nobody thinks about, and everybody uses.
Hotwireless is a managed guest Wi-Fi operator. We give a venue a branded login page, a guest list it is allowed to keep, and the numbers behind both — with guests kept on their own network, well away from the tills, the booking system and the back office.
We work with pubs, bars, restaurants, cafés, hotels, B&Bs, guest houses, holiday parks, salons, gyms, retail and transport operators across the United Kingdom.
What we believe
A WiFi login is a conversation.
Every time a guest connects to your Wi-Fi you have their attention for a few seconds. They are already looking at their phone. They are already in your venue. They are already inclined to like you, because they are using something you gave them.
Most venues spend that moment on a router's default page. The good ones put their own name on it, ask for the details they are allowed to keep, and end the month with a guest list. That is the whole product thesis, and it is the entire reason this company exists.
How we work
It arrives ready. You plug it in.
The router is configured, tested and boxed before it is dispatched, then sent to you from within the United Kingdom on a UK courier with nothing to pay when it arrives. It goes into a spare port on the broadband router you already have, and your branded login page comes up. No site survey, no installation charge, no engineer to book, nothing ripped out.
After that it reports in to us continuously. Access rules, portal wording, a new voucher batch, a guest tier that needs more bandwidth on a Saturday — we usually make those changes the same day, from our side, before anyone at the venue has had to think about it. Where a difficult building genuinely needs an extra pair of hands for more coverage, we draw up the plan and work with your own electrician or IT contractor.
Principles we ship by
Four rules we don't bend on.
Guest privacy first
We collect the minimum the package needs. The UK GDPR and PECR are a floor, not a ceiling: marketing consent is a separate unticked box, never the login itself, and a guest can opt out or ask for deletion at any time.
Honest product claims
We sell only what we can deliver on the day you sign. If something is still in pilot we say so and it stays off the price list. No invented uptime figure, no service level we do not offer, no vapourware.
The owner is the customer
The venue owner pays the bill, so our job is to hand them something they can point at. A fixed monthly price with no VAT added, no guest cap and no overage. On rolling monthly, one calendar month's notice. On a 12-month plan, the balance of the term falls due — unless you took the £149 hardware option, in which case a month's notice is all it is.
Support that actually supports
Mon–Fri, from 06:00 UK time — an early-start desk, so a problem raised before the doors open is already being worked on. You reach someone who can see your router, not a queue that asks you to reboot it.
The company
Who you are actually dealing with.
Hotwireless is the trading name of Hotspot & Wifi Specialists (Pty) Ltd, company registration number 2016/437869/07, a company registered in South Africa that supplies venues in the United Kingdom. A UK limited company is planned, and when Companies House issues its number we will publish it here and on our legal pages.
We are not registered for UK VAT, which is why every price on this site is the price you pay with nothing added. Our registered address, along with the terms we trade on and what we do with personal data, is published on our contact page, our terms and our privacy notice.
